Scene from "Grown Ups" (at least that is the working title)
Below is a picture of the set location, as taken from my car as I was driving by, at a decent speed, in front of a cop, with my two kids in the backseat, my dad sitting shotgun, and talking on a cell phone to Melissa. Given the circumstances, it was the best pic I could get. If you zoom in exponentially close, you can see Salma Hayek and Adam Sandler.

Scenes from the set
Below are some pictures of the cast members from the movie being filmed in town. I didn't take these pictures...a little thing known as "my job" prevents me from hanging around the set. Credit for these photos belongs to Susan, Chris and Linda.

New Movie Filmed in Southborough
Columbia Pictures is filming a movie in Southboro starting tomorrow. It stars Adam Sandler, David Spade, Chris Rock, Salma Hayek and Norm MacDonald (needless to say, it is a comedy; unless they’ve all gone Bill Murray on us and are now trying dramas). In a last minute attempt to get a role in this flick, I just visited the site and took these pictures.

The Gang
Zimmer
On January 31, 2004, I played in a softball tournament sponsored by John Hancock. In addition to John Hancock employees and business associates, numerous past and present pro baseball players, including "Mudcat" Grant, George Foster, John Stearns, Don Zimmer, Jim Fregosi and AJ Pierzynski, participated in this tournament (ESPN's Brian Kenny was on hand to do the play-by-play). Prior to the start of the tourney, I had the opportunity to eat lunch with the legendary Zimmer. Zimmer commented on the "evil agents that are destroying baseball", his new position with Tampa Bay which enables him to spend more time with his wife, his past involvement with almost every team in professional baseball and his soon-to-be-released book (no, I didn't ask him about the Pedro incident). In response to my question about his relationship with George Steinbrenner, he replied: "George would never fxck with me".
